Mindfulness Week

Mindfulness Week

What a week it has been. Last Saturday was the Mindfulness in Nature workshop at Neston, a full day talking and being out in nature, but the rain never stopped. However we had warm friendly facilities at Neston’s Community and youth Centre. Feedback was very positive even though we didn’t step out.

The sun came out on Monday for The Mindfulness in Nature course at Frodsham, where we were able to get outside in the park at Castle Park and discuss various techniques, meditate and enjoy Tai Chi.

Tuesday was the start of a new Mindfulness in Nature course at the new River Park at Port Sunlight. What a brilliant location overlooking the Mersey and seeing Liverpool water front on the other bank. The course is full and names are already being taken for the next one on the 1st July.

Our last day of the 8 week Mindfulness in Nature course at Neston took place on Thursday, both the groups said that they had benefitted from attending and would like to carry on. Unfortunately there is another course starting this coming Thursday for new students. To help keep the interest in Mindfulness there will be a half hour meditation session alternate weeks for previous student to come to and help their development. The next one is on 16th June at 12noon.

There are still places available for the new courses starting this Thursday 9th May at Neston Community and Youth Centre,10am to 12 noon and 1pm to 3pm. The courses are free and sponsored by Cheshire West and Chester Council and run by Mersey Forest. To book a place contact Neston Community Centre on 0151 336 7805
