MINDFULNESS sessions are returning this autumn to help people slow down and reconnect with their surroundings.

The free eight-week courses, titled Mindful Contact with Nature, are taking place in Frodsham and Helsby and are designed to boost wellbeing, reduce stress, and build personal resilience through outdoor mindfulness.

The events are part of the Natural Health Service in Cheshire and are supported by The Mersey Forest.

Bob Wheat, who leads the sessions, said: "We offer people a chance to press pause, de-stress, and find some peace and presence in the natural world around them."

The courses blend gentle mindfulness exercises with activities rooted in the natural environment.

Frodsham, sessions will be held at Castle Park Arts Centre every Thursday from September 18 to November 13, with two time slots available: 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm.

In Helsby, sessions will take place at Helsby Community Centre on Mondays from September 15 to November 10, with a further course running from November 17 to January 19.

Monday sessions in Helsby run from 11am to 1pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

The courses are part of a broader effort by The Mersey Forest to support health and wellbeing through access to nature.

The organisation has been promoting outdoor activity and connection to green spaces for nearly 30 years.

Spaces are limited and booking is essential.
