Healthy Eating - A time for change

An ideal time to look at our eating habits and see if we can tweak them to feel more healthy Here are a few suggestions that might help: Plan your meals a few days in advance. May be stopping you having those ready made meals or takeaways. Try and put down your knife and fork for the first few bites and savour your food mindfully, enjoy the taste, texture and smell of the food. Slowing down your eating may improve how the food is digested. Have fruit for desert, instead of pudding, cake, biscuits etc Eat at the table, not in front of the TV (you'll enjoy your food more and you'll notice when the full sign). The last Friday before Christmas saw the last session for 2018. I have three sessions going at present, all sessions are in Widnes. The class is a fun. always welcoming new members and willing to help them improve their ability. All sessions start in the New Year, why not come down and give it a go. Yes its the time in the year to wish you a mindful, restful Christmas Some tips for a mindful Christmas: Eat those chocolates mindfully Take a break from being inside, enjoy a walk, particularly in the countryside, notice nature and get that fresh air instead of that recirculated air inside. You will feel more refreshed and better to deal with Christmas situations when they arrive. Appreciate the people around you, quite often when we are tried we are more critical.
